Mosimane: One of the easiest games

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane was left in disbelief after his side played to a goalless stalemate against St George in an encounter which he labelled ‘one of the easiest games.’

The Caf Champions League holders failed to break the deadlock against the Ethiopian outfit at the Lucas Moripe Stadium and the former Bafana Bafana mentor did not mince his words in post-match comments, suggesting that they should have won easily.

‘To be honest, I have never seen a mild game like this. This was one of easiest games ever played,’

‘But what is the point in saying it was easy if we don’t win. We were not aggressive in the box upfront; we moved the ball and they hardly touched it, but what’s the point?

‘I don’t know if I watched the game in the right way or what.

‘I think it was one of the easiest games. In the Champions League, this was the easiest ever played here. But we didn’t win, and I am disappointed.

The Masandawana mentor went as far as comparing the game to a non-professional Sunday league game.

‘Tonight there was no football – this was a Sunday league game. A nice Sunday afternoon game for over 30s.

‘I think after a month of training, I can put my boots back on and play. I could even do something,’ he concluded.

Sundowns turn their attention to the Absa Premiership where they will face Maritzburg United on Wednesday, before travelling to Congo to face AS Vita on Tuesday 23 May.
