Baxter: It will be a decent team
- Updated: July 10, 2017

Bafana Bafana head coach Stuart Baxter says he will freshen up the squad ahead of their Chan qualifier against Botswana on 16 July 2017.
The South African national team finished the Cosafa Cup in fifth place after edging Namibia 1-0 in the Plate final at the Moruleng Stadium on Friday.
Baxter will now get the national team ready in their bid to qualify for the upcoming 2017 Chan tournament in July.
The 63-year-old admits that it will be a challenge getting players released from domestic duty, with the clubs starting pre-season, but Baxter is confident he can put together a decent squad.
“The clubs understand the difference between the two competitions. Unfortunately, Chan comes at a time when the PSL clubs are starting their pre-season training, but we will freshen up the team and I think it will be a decent team,” Baxter told Safa.net.
“The challenge for us is that we have to start all over again in terms of the delivery of information.”
Bafana Bafana will now turn their attention to the Chan qualifiers when they take on Botswana at the Moruleng Stadium on 16 July 2017.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 15:00.
