- Updated: July 8, 2017

SuperSport United booked their place in the Caf Confederation Cup quarter-finals after thrashing CF Mounana 4-1 in their final Group D clash at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, writes Dylan Appolis.
Matsatsantsa got off to a bright start and took the lead in the 15th minute when Bradley Grobler latched on to a pass from Aubrey Modiba before the striker headed the ball home to make it 1-0.
SuperSport then doubled their lead after 27 minutes as Grobler set up Thabo Mnyamane, who fired his effort into the corner from outside the box.
Jeremy Brockie added SuperSport’s third goal seven minutes later when he slotted the ball into an empty net to make it 3-0.
SuperSport were then awarded a penalty before the half-time interval when Brockie was brought down in the area. The striker stepped up and converted from the spot-kick.
The visiting side eventually pulled a goal back ten minutes into the second half after Ellessah Mensah beat his marker to slot the ball into the net from close range to reduce the deficit.
Mounana grew in confidence as the match went on as they started to see more possession of the ball, but failed to beat United goalkeeper Ronwen Williams with the chances created.
However, SuperSport held on to their 4-1 lead until the final whistle of the match to advance to the quarter-finals of the competition after finishing Group D as runners-up.
