Bidvest Wits’ hunt for PSL title is over
- Updated: May 18, 2017
Bidvest Wits secured their maiden Absa Premiership title with a game left to be played in the campaign, after Mamelodi Sundowns failed to garner victory on Wednesday night.
The Clever Boys secured a 2-0 victory against Polokwane City courtesy of two sublime strikes by James Keene and Daine Klate, while second-placed Masadawana were forced to share the spoils against a resilient Maritzburg outfit.
The Sturrock Park based-outfit had to wait for the final whistle from the Sundowns game and upon hearing the news that they were held to a stalemate, the celebrations commenced.
Congratulations Bidvest Wits!
