Hlatshwayo: Pirates would be a dream

Bidvest Wits captain Thulani Hlatshwayo has revealed his childhood dream of donning the black and white of Orlando Pirates, suggesting that he could make a move in the future.
The Clever Boys pipped Masandawana to the Absa Premiership title in their penultimate game of the season, ending their long wait for their maiden PSL title.
Hlatshwayo formed an integral part of Gavin Hunt’s side this season at the heart of the Wits defence, notching up 22 appearances and netting three goals in the league ahead of his side’s final league clash against Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Sunday, 27th May.
The former Ajax Cape Town man reiterated that he his happy at the Sturrock Park-based outfit.
“I’m still contracted to Wits until 2019 and I’m very happy at my club,” he told KickOff.
“But one day I will listen to offers from other clubs who want my services, and can offer me a good deal.
“But I will only begin to think of that once I lift the league and make history with Bidvest Wits,” he added.
The Bafana Bafana international, who hails from Soweto, said it would be an honour to play for the team that he grew up supporting.
“I grew up supporting Pirates, and yes, they are struggling right now, but, given an opportunity, one day I would like to realise one of my childhood dreams and don the black and white, knowing also that most of my family supports Pirates.
“I can’t lie, I don’t want to retire one day without playing a Soweto Derby,” he concluded.
