Klate: The hard work has already begun
- Updated: July 11, 2017

Bidvest Wits winger Daine Klate says he is looking forward to helping his side defend their Absa Premiership title in the 2017-18 campaign.
The veteran winger enjoyed a successful 2016-17 campaign with Wits after helping them claim their maiden Absa Premiership title and the MTN8 trophy respectively.
Klate, who is the most decorated player in South African football, picked up his sixth winners medal in the league, having previously won the Absa Premiership title with SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates.
He also walked away with the MTN8 Last Man Standing award at the PSL awards ceremony on Monday following his impressive performance in the tournament leading up to their triumph in the final against Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 32-year-old says the Students have already started their pre-season training ahead of defending their PSL title during the 2017-18 campaign.
“We are working very, very hard,” Klate told the media at the awards ceremony.
“We don’t really like pre-season, but it has to be done. A good pre-season gives you a good season, so it’s another pre-season for me at Wits – the hard work has started, and we are looking forward to the start of the new season.”
