Masango’s future in Randers’ hands – Sibiya
- Updated: June 28, 2017

SuperSport United chairman Khulu Sibiya has confirmed that influential midfielder Mandla Masango’s future in the PSL remains uncertain.
The 27-year-old Bafana Bafana international, who netted four goals from 18 appearances in all competitions for Matsatsantsa, joined the club on a six-month loan deal from Danish side Randers during the January transfer window.
The SuperSport chairman revealed that the Bafana midfielder’s future does not entirely depend whether new coach Eric Tinkler wants him at the club.
‘Mandla Masango’s case is not resolved as yet,’ Sibiya told The Star.
‘He joined us in the middle of the season on a six-month loan deal and according to the contract, he’s still a Randers player. They are the ones who have the power whether to sell him or not, not us. He has only a few days left with us until his future is decided.
‘But then again, you have this issue of the new coach coming in. Baxter just left us for Bafana, following our (4-1) victory over Orlando Pirates in Durban (this past weekend), and Tinkler is still yet to make changes in his squad.
‘He still has to present to me his overall analysis of the squad and decide which players he would like to keep, buy or release, leading up to the new season.’
SuperSport United are scheduled to take on Horoya in their final Caf Confederations Cup Group D encounter at the Stade 28 Septembre on 1 July 2017.
Kick-off has been set for 17:00.
