Middendorp, however, looks to be steering Chiefs in the right direction and Pitso admitted after his beat Chiefs 2-1 at the FNB Stadium on Saturday that the new look Chiefs made it very difficult for the Brazilians.

‘Ya you can see that the team is different, meaning Kaizer Chiefs,’ said Pitso to the media following the game.

‘Organisation, stronger and very difficult for us. It was akward for us in the first half because it took us a bit of time to figure out how they play.

‘I think after we scored the first goal we went immediately down, because they play different, and in a manner that I did not expect, where you have Katsande coming in the back and then you have two extra midfielders and we struggled to deal with George (Maluleka) and Lebo (Manyama) also caused us problems.
