SuperSport United have confirmed that South African U20 defender Katlego Mohamme has been loaned out to Portuguese side Sertanense.
The 19-year-old, who formed an integral part of Matsatsantsa’s MultiChoice Diski side, will spend the forthcoming season on loan at the Portuguese third-tier side.
The Soshanguve-born-defender also played a crucial role in for the South African U20 side at the African Youth Championships in Zambia.
Matsatsantsa’s MDC coach Kwanele Kopo urged Mohamme to stay focused on his growth. He also believes that his loan move will motivate other players in the reserve side to work hard in the hopes of getting a move abroad.
“I hope it goes well with the youngster as this is a good opportunity for him. He needs to stay focused and give it his best shot,” Kopo told his clubs official website.
“Also, I feel this is a big motivation to his teammates in the reserve side and hopefully, he opens the door for other players to join him overseas.”
