Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho expressed his satisfaction after his side secured their place in the Champions League by winning the Europa League final.
The Red Devils secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Ajax at the Friends Arena, courtesy of goals by Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in either half.
Mourinho expressed his delight at leading United to their first ever Europa League title in the club’s history.
‘It’s the end of a very difficult season, but I think a very very good season. We prefer this way than finishing fourth, finishing third, then finishing second, we prefer this way,’ Mourinho said.
‘The club is now a club with all the titles in the world football and we are very happy because we fought hard for this.’
