SuperSport United edged a step closer to retaining the Nedbank Cup trophy after securing a 4-2 victory on penalties against Chippa United on Saturday afternoon at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium.
SuperSport and Chippa were involved in a semi-final battle, which lasted over two hours as neither side were able to break the deadlock in regulation time, but Matsatsantsa proved victorious in the lottery of penalties, with goalkeeper Ronwen Williams emerging a hero as he saved two penalties.
