Rakhale sights set on Nedbank Cup glory
- Updated: May 25, 2017

Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabo Rakhale remains optimistic that the Buccaneers will be victorious against SuperSport United in the finals of the Nedbank Cup.
The Buccaneers are set to take on SuperSport United in the finals of the competition, having beaten Golden Arrows in the previous round.
The 27-year-old says he is looking forward to the possibility that the Buccaneers will clinch their second Nedbank Cup trophy within the space of three seasons.
“I’d say this season has been challenging for us and we tried our best, and when luck doesn’t go your way there’s nothing much you can do,” Rakhale said.
“At the moment we need to finish the season with silverware and I believe it’ll make our fans happy and we owe that to ourselves and our supporters.”
Having previously fallen short against SuperSport in the finals last season, Rakhale believes that this edition of the competition will be a different ball game than when they last met.
“I can’t talk much about SuperSport, because it’s different now this season,” he added.
“It’ll be another game, another platform. We only need to convert our chances and I’d say that will be the only difference.”
Orlando Pirates will be keen to claim all three points when they take on Golden Arrows in the Absa Premiership on Saturday.
The match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium kicks off at 15:00.
